A Legacy of Beauty and Art Across Generations

BY LIME is a brand that embodies the timeless beauty of Korean traditions and the heartfelt stories passed down through generations. We aim to deliver unique value to our customers through designs inspired by nature and the meticulous artistry of embroidery.

Her grandmother dedicated her life to art by embroidering traditional Korean patterns, the Ten Symbols of Longevity 십장생 (十長生) Ten Symbols of Longevity (Sun, Moon, Mountain, Water, Pine Tree, Bamboo, Elixir Plant, Turtle, Crane, Deer), and scenes of nature and people. The people in her embroidery appeared serene and happy, standing out for their harmonious coexistence with nature. Her mother, with her expertise in horticulture and landscaping, cultivated a beautiful garden filled with vibrant flowers and trees. Growing up in this environment, Lime naturally developed an appreciation for art and an understanding of the importance of nature. This upbringing led me to pursue studies in design and art, which eventually shaped BY LIME into what it is today. Their legacy lives on in Lime heart through their embroidery, Korean-inspired imagery, and love for nature. These elements form the foundation of BY LIME.

A Korean Identity Blossoming in Diverse Cultures

Her family’s history reflects a journey across different cultures due to historical circumstances. Her grandmother was born in Japan, mother in China, and Lime studied design in Korea before continuing her career in New York. Despite these diverse backgrounds, we share a common thread—a deep-rooted love for Korean aesthetics and beauty.
